We seek a strategic and inquisitive senior data scientist to spearhead data-centered projects. In alignment with our primary objective, the senior data scientist will need to define work scopes, delegate tasks, and serve as both the team lead for our Data Science Track program, guiding them through real-world projects in the financial services industry and the primary client-facing representative of the program to identify challenges, propose innovative solutions, and demonstrate the value of our program.
Additionally, your expertise in Data Science will be invaluable for consulting on various project facets and beyond.
- Collaborate on research projects within the Global Data Lab. This involves contributing expertise in data science, machine learning, and related fields to drive the lab’s research agenda forward. Additionally, the role entails staying abreast of the latest developments and trends in data science and machine learning and applying this knowledge to inform and improve ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams and departments across the organization to leverage data science and machine learning capabilities to solve business challenges and drive innovation. This includes working closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, translating them into data-driven solutions, and effectively communicating findings and insights to non-technical audiences.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation: Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation within the Global Data Lab, whether in processes, methodologies, tools, or technologies. This involves staying up-to-date with advancements in data science and machine learning, experimenting with new techniques and approaches, and championing the adoption of best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the lab.
Job Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- Masters or PhD in Data Science, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Maths or Statistics.
- Data Visualization expertise
- Must be strongly capable with SQL & Python (and relevant libraries)
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and machine learning algorithms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
