Job Description

1. Seasoned Lead to head up a Data Governance Project for a Bank in Manhattan.

2. Candidate should have experience leading an engagement, and be comfortable handling senior management.

3. Firm understanding of all aspects of Data Governance.

4. Prior experience leading a Data Governance implementation.

5. Confidence in working with senior & executive management within a bank.

6. Confidence driving process.

7. Confidence in leading/mentoring and managing a junior team.

Job Requirements

Deliverables:

1. Target Operating Model for Information Management Framework

2. Develop metrics to be used and methodology in prioritizing initiatives/projects.

3. Create recommendations for quick wins: List of recommended improvement opportunities allowing bank to quickly achieve and demonstrate business value

4. Develop a series of templates that enable the team to effectively develop the implementation roadmap (e.g., initiative definition templates, prioritization frameworks, dependency management templates, timeline/implementation plan templates)

5. Create a list of identified Strategic KDE’s – based on one on one’s with key stakeholders

6. Prioritization criteria for KDE’s.

7. Create business requirements and data definition templates: Establish data dictionary template to house identified KDE’s and process to maintain – proposed S/T solution was to utilize Confluence

8. Change Management: Provide a standard process for efficiently documenting, escalating and addressing data-related change requests

9. As definitions are established, develop a process to provide clarity to data consumers into what each Key Data Element specifically means and how it is recorded

10. Data Quality: Develop a process to maximize business outcomes, improve usability and reduce time/expenses from excessive data reconciliation
